Tax Incentive Programs

Seymour offers two Tax Incentive programs to handle all types of businesses:

1. Enterprise Corridor Zone
2. SMART

Highlights of Enterprise Corridor Zone (State Plan)

• 80% reduction in property tax for 5 years
• Up to 25% reduction in State of Connecticut corporate tax for 10 years
• Up to $75,000 in employee training grant funds

Highlights of SMART Plan

• SMART  =  Seymour Manufacturers Assistance Retention/Recruitment Tax Plan
• SMART offers the following tax abatement subject to Board of  Selectmen approval:
  • Three year tax abatement at a declining rate up to 60%, 40%, 30%
